A few words to talk about us
After a beautiful trip to Ardèche in the land of Jean Ferrat, near the place where the Loire has its source, surrounded by water, woods and forests, we settled in the « Pays de Rabelais », more exactly between the Loire and the Vienna. We put our suitcases in Rivière near Chinon.
And why Chinon will you tell me? Well … why not!
We have made the choice of a contemporary house, comfortable, where you can sleep in peace. Our three rooms, the Plume, the Retro and the Pop, all have a private terrace, a walk-in shower and a magnificent view of the garden. Comfortable, practical and functional, everything is there for a successful stay!

Are you a cyclist or enjoy cycling? This is very good! The house is located at the edge of the bike path that is called « The Green Way » which connects Chinon to Richelieu. From there, you can go straight to the heart of Chinon and, like Joan of Arc, climb to the Royal Fortress of Chinon. You can then go back to Candes-Saint-Martin, ranked the most beautiful village in France, to reach the banks of the Loire and take the route « La Loire à Vélo ».
There are many activities to do around the bed and breakfast O Doux Matins! Too often my travelers tell me « If we had known that there were so many activities to do, we would have stayed longer! » So do not make the same mistake … anticipate the organization of your stay and take inspiration from getaways that we offer!
We are epicureans, passionate about Chinon and the Loire Valley, its terroir, its history and without forgetting, of course, its wine! Savoring cuisine with good Val de Loire products is a privilege. Our table d’hôte is in our image: simple but still tasty! We like to associate our dishes with our origins, a little South but especially the banks of the Loire.
As you surely know, the year 2019 celebrates 500 years of the Renaissance in Touraine # vivadavinci2019! 500 years ago, our kings already had good reasons to come and discover our banks of the Loire and live in this so famous Touraine sweetness! We only transmit the history of our beloved Val de Loire!
Well, staying in bed and breakfast in Chinon, it’s like yesterday and like tomorrow: on foot, on horseback, by bike or by boat, all roads lead O Sweet Morning!
